The project is located in the center of the Yellow River Scenic Area in Zhongwei City, Ningxia, near the S201 Highway, 10km from the urban area of Zhongwei City, with an overall improvement planning range of 66 hectares (about 1000 mu), including the introduction of new destination resort products in the desert scenic area and the upgrading iteration of the theme amusement, business and home stay products in the Yellow River Scenic Area, including the wheel of the Yellow River, the upgrading of immersive Yellow River home stay town, boutique resort hotels and desert water parks.

Shapotou Scenic Area in Ningxia is one of the first 5A tourist attractions in China and a demonstration unit of tourism standardization in China. The project is located at the southeast edge of Tengger Desert, 16 kilometers away from Zhongwei City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The project integrates desert, Yellow River, mountain and oasis. It has magnificent scenery in the northwest, beautiful scenery in the south of the Yangtze River, and unique natural landscape. The project was awarded the "National Science and Technology Progress Award" by the State Council of China in 1988, and the honorary title of "Global 500 Environmental Protection Units" by the United Nations in 1994.
